These are no doubt confusing times with so much that seems to be at stake. But the Word of God has much to say about the political system, as well as the Lord's people's responsibility to live in it and engage with it. Confusion and fear may be present, but friends, our Savior banishes confusion to the corners and fear to the depths.
For too long the church has relinquished her God-given task of political engagement. We must reclaim this privilege biblically, lovingly, graciously, and like Jesus.
He is superior.
He is worthy.
He is unifying.
Christ is a true politician, in that he cares for the people. May we, as his covenant people, learn more wholly and more reverently how to be political, like Christ!
