Promises can make or break any relationship. A deal with a business partner, a pact with friends, or a vow to a spouse, the keeping of that promise releases fragrant love, grace, and trust. Should that promise be broken, our hearts reel with resentment and bitterness, a deep sorrow we have all experienced.
But there is a promise in this life made more confidently and extraordinary than any other. Our God, is a covenant making God. From Genesis to Revelation, the Father makes promise after promise. However, it is not the promise in itself which holds its worth. Rather, it is the keeping of that promise by the covenant maker that exudes surety!
Join us this Advent season, as we journey through Jesus' bloodline in Matthew 1. Let us inhale this Advent season, the life-giving breath of Jesus Christ, our great Covenant Keeper.
